The newest designer to join Target’s GO International line is Rodarte.

Target’s GO International line is a program that is designed to provide affordable fashion by high end designers at prices that are expected from Target, according to the Target Web site.

The 55-piece collection will be available Dec. 20 through Feb. 6, according to Women’s Wear Daily Web site.

The prices of the collection will start at $9.99 for knee-high socks up to $79.99 for a leopard-print jacket, according to Women’s Wear Daily Web site.

The Rodarte collection will bring a sophisticated and chic holiday outfit just in time for the holiday parties.

The final collection is not available for public view, but Rodarte’s Spring 2010 collection was full of dramatic detail and attitude. I can only expect when they design for Target that their pieces will be full of originality and style.

“What you’ll notice is an amazing eye for detail,” said Joshua Thomas, a Target spokesman. “It’s very feminine, yet very modern. The collection incorporates a rich mix of patterns and fabrications and everything from sequins and bows to faux fur. The key with Rodarte is layering.”

The Target collection will include many stand-alone pieces and pieces that can be layered with different textures and prints, Thomas said.

The collection will also have a variety of holiday dresses to choose from, he said.

Rodarte is a newer fashion label that was founded by sisters, Kate and Laura Mulleavy.

The label was created in 2005 in Pasadena, Calif, according to the Rodarte Web site.

The company is only four years old, but Rodarte is carried globally by more than 40 high end retailers, according to the Rodarte Web site.
